"Now that I am at this stage in my life I know what I need to do and can SUCCEED"

Christine had bariatric surgery 1 year ago and has lost over 100 lbs! She has been able to run since losing weight and is planning to run in a 5k in 2024! She has been able to be more active with her 11-year-old son and enjoy activities like camping and biking.

“I have been overweight my whole life, my mom took me to a diet club when I was 10 years old. I have been trying to lose weight ever since. I have tried every diet - Weight Watchers, TOPS, and even starved myself. I have lost over 100 lbs. and gained it back many times. Getting older it was getting harder to move and be out of breath just getting dressed in the morning. I had to do something or I knew I was going to die soon. Now that I am at this stage in my life I know what I need to do and can SUCCEED.” - Christine

20,000+ Steps A Day!

"60-year-old patient who is 2 years out after her sleeve and she is KILLING IT!! Since surgery, she has journaled her exercise and tracked her steps every day. She shared her journal and it was so cool to see how her exercise has increased over the past 2 years. She also showed me her food journal in which she records EVERYTHING she eats - in her case, it is lean proteins and veggies and fruits most days.

Journaling takes discipline, but it raises your attention to your choices and the journey. The best part of this visit yesterday was that this patient HAS LOST 200 POUNDS and is at a BMI of 25! WOW"
