Many patients do their homework and recognize  the program they choose for bariatric surgery is very important. This is not a typical surgical procedure in which surgery is done and you are sent on your way. Bariatric Surgery provides a tool and it's the intense aftercare program that will instill lifestyle changes and provide support needed for ultimate success. We have many patients traveling from all over the state as well as out of state to come to our program. Below are ways we accommodate out of town patients:

• Coordination of Initial Consult with Dr. Gluck and Initial Nutrition Class can all be scheduled the same day as the mandatory Seminar.
• During your surgical stay at Mercy Hospital, your family may take advantage of a discounted room rate provided by the hospital for the Comfort Inn, located 1/2 mile from the hospital and Dr. Gluck's office.
• Coordination of pre-operative appointments (nutrition, psychological evaluation and support groups).
• Psychological Evaluation can be set up in your hometown.
• Initial lab work and testing can be completed in your hometown.
• Coordination of of Pre-op teaching class (RN, dietitian and Dr. Gluck all speak) and pre-admission testing.
• Coordination of Post-op appointments (office visits, nutrition and support groups).
